Time scarcity burdens our individual well-being, affects our relationships, and disrupts the rhythms of the planet. At the same time, the causes of time shortage seem to be irreversibly inscribed in the structures of our society.
‘Aevum – Artifacts of a Time Culture’ envisions a future, based on three speculative archaeological finds, in which temporal well-being has become a cultural value. Three booklets collect the correspondence of fictional scientists who analyse these artifacts. How does our present understanding of time shape today’s crises — and can a first step outward be imagined from here?
