In the work “Ryuugakusei”, which translates to “international student” in Japanese, I report on my time during the summer semester of 2024, when I was allowed to study in Nagaoka (Japan), using collages made from my own drawings, but predominantly from flyers, photos, admission tickets, packaging, etc. The final product shows many small moments from my daily life in Japan that go beyond a classic vacation and that I was able to share with dear friends and acquaintances with whom I am still in contact today.
