Description

‘X,Y,Z,+ ‘ is an approach to designing architectural elements in an energy-efficient and sustainable way. A modular and adaptable system. Manufactured in a single step with minimal waste. All required features and functions are achieved through material selection and intelligent textile construction. No further processing. No external stabilisers. Nothing more than yarn and intelligent knit construction. ‘X,Y,Z,+ ‘ is a multifunctional, inherently stable textile that can be modified on the surface and is highly stretchable in the X and Y directions. It can be shaped into three-dimensional objects, retaining its shape while remaining flexible. It can stretch into each other, grip and hold objects of different sizes and shapes, and reach the fourth dimension thanks to its active properties. The result is a 4D knit. ‘X,Y,Z,+ ‘ is suitable for dynamic and functional architectural structures.
