Description

“to be continued” stands for an interruption that already considers a continuation. The project transfers this principle to product design and understands design as an open process that is continued during use. On this basis, two designs were developed that specifically work with incompleteness or ambiguity.

Folding Chair Ø13: The appropriation of the chair and the filling of the open backrest are an essential part of its function. Users do not need any special knowledge or tools to modify the product during use according to their ideas.

Hanger: The structure is formally developed, but the function remains deliberately open and ambiguous. Instead of an optimized single function, the design relies on flexibility. Appropriation and use thus become the central place for change: how the hanger is placed in the room, what is hung on it, and how it is used remains open.
