Description
Within the scope of this diploma thesis, exterior designs for the KION brands Linde MH, Still, Baoli and OM are developed based on the common forklift platform. The design drafts are based on the already existing design languages of the respective brands and are further developed in the sense of a new, modern forklift generation. The aim is to achieve the best possible brand differentiation through design despite the identical technical structure, while retaining common design elements to save on the cost of the forklift platform.
The focus of the work is the forklift design for Linde MH - oriented towards the value segment. The design drafts for the four brands were brought to life using visualization methods (CAD and AR) and compared and evaluated with each other. Finally, the resulting design differentiation strategy was summarized in a short guideline.
