Born from the idea of bringing more natural light into living spaces, ‘Spektrum’ is a functional object that materialises light through a simple but effective analogue gesture: colour reflection. Like a sundial, it reacts naturally to different settings to create a tangible, personalised lighting atmosphere. Made entirely of stainless steel, the wall shelf is composed of light, flat pieces that are easy to assemble with just a few joints. It is available in versions from one to nine levels, each one handmade using an airbrush technique from the automotive industry. Developed through theoretical and practical research – from light theory and colour psychology to paper models and material experiments – ‘Spektrum’ is an intersection of functionality and wellbeing that allows the power of daylight to be explored and experienced in everyday life.
