The ‘Sonus Eco’ headphone concept is an alternative design approach that combines sustainable product features with the qualitative requirements of the music industry.
The additive design and construction of the headphones allow for easy disassembly and repair by replacing individual components. The design thus sends out a clear signal against the throwaway culture. The use of bio-based materials and alternative raw materials, with a focus on durability and compostability, reduces the ecological footprint.
The concept opens up a wide range of applications in the music industry thanks to the design innovations of the adjustable clamping force of the headband and the open/close-back mechanism of the housing shells. The design was inspired by historical representatives of headphone technology and objects from the studio environment, allowing it to blend harmoniously into the working environment.
