SOMA
an experimental study of the body
Description
SOMA explores the use of the body as a shaping tool and investigates the forms that can emerge through the body's interaction with materials. The work revolves around perceiving the body and developing an understanding of space, time, and movement in relation to the body. Through experimental approaches, movements and forms of the body are transformed into various materialities. As a result of these experimental approaches, a multifaceted series of objects has emerged, including clay sculptures, 3D-printed jewelry, a documentary video of the performance, and a photobook.
