SCAP-ARTRO
Neuinterpretation eines Hand Gipses
Description
The project aims to rethink and improve the traditional application of hand plasters. The initiator had personal experience with plaster casts after injuries and noticed material waste and discomfort. The aim is to develop customisable, reusable hand cast models that can be used before, during and after immobilisation. This will reduce environmental impact and increase patient comfort. The project involved basic research, model making, 3D scanning and CAD modelling. Prototypes were tested to improve cooling and closure. The aim is to create a greener, more comfortable alternative to traditional hand plasters by reducing material waste and improving customisation.
