Description
This work addresses the systematic erasure of women in historiography and asks how our view of the past changes when we focus on the significant role of women. For centuries, women were excluded from historical narratives, despite having had a decisive impact on world history. This book restores these stories, honours the women, and examines the system that led to their removal.
The book combines historical analysis with biographical storytelling: the life stories of women structure the text, and their illustrations — rotated, in red, and accompanied by separate information texts — appear at the beginning of each chapter. This separation emphasises their presence, slows down the reading process, and encourages conscious engagement. It is more than a collection of forgotten names. It is a step towards reclaiming what was suppressed, omitted, and erased.
