Eine grafische Interpretation von Musik
Description
In order to create a visual language for music that not only connects emotions with melody and sound but also considers the technical and physical aspects of the creation process and production, a piece of music was analysed and, based on its isolated tracks, a visual language was developed that functions like a visual translation.
Using stem splitting, the song After Rain by Dermot Kennedy was separated into its individual musical tracks: vocals, guitar, strings, bass, and drums. Each track was examined in isolation and graphically processed. From the technical representation of the audio signals, a distinct graphic element was created for each track. Finally, the tracks were assembled according to the song structure into a complete graphic composition, revealing a visual translation of the piece.
