Description
In this work I take a close look at how the pelvic examination can be turned into a patient oriented and emotionally more positive experience. By redesigning one of the most important gynaecological instruments - the speculum - I want to establish the participation of the patient into the examination, as well as overcome the taboo of female genitalia. I question the whole context of the examination and show that design is more than just superficial aesthetics but affects whole systems and interactions.
