one GLASS many TECHNIQUES
A Collection of Manual Glass Techniques that Demonstrate Special Techniques and Make the Countless Design Possibilities Comprehensible.
Description
Manual glassmaking is on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage. But the knowledge about it is in danger of being forgotten due to a lack of interest and increasingly difficult economic conditions. Many of these techniques are still essential in working with glass today. The physical transition between liquid and solid in glass is fascinating and unique. If these properties of the material are experimented with during the process of form-finding, countless design possibilities could arise. "One GLASS many TECHNIQUES" is a collection of different manual glass production techniques and is intended to give designers in particular a more direct approach to the material.
