NightLink

Description

Nightlink is a concept that further develops night trains as an innovative and sustainable means of transport. The environmental and climate impact of flying is making it less and less attractive for short and medium distance travel in Europe. Night trains are a very good alternative to cars and planes, as they could combine high levels of comfort with climate-friendly travel. However, it is comfort that is lacking in today's night trains and is holding them back from becoming an attractive means of daily transport. This project looks at how a modern night train could be made attractive, comfortable and accessible to a large group of people, while remaining economically and ecologically functional.
