“nach Bauchgefühl” is a magazine about uncertainty, disorientation, and change in one’s twenties. A phase of life that often brings high expectations, as it is sold to you as the best time of your life. Particularly due to social media, pressure arises to constantly compare one’s own path with that of others.
The magazine counters this with honest perspectives. For this purpose, texts by various authors were collected, who talk honestly about personal experiences. They are complemented by photographs that capture everyday situations with close-up, fragmentary image sections.
Pasta serves as a recurring motif of the project. The cooking process becomes a metaphor for growing up: some things boil over, some things take longer than expected, but in the end, something good always comes out of it.
As an analogue medium, nach Bauchgefühl creates space for closeness, honesty, and the exchange about experiences that often remain unspoken.
