mute. is a textile intervention that addresses sensory overload in urban spaces caused by noise and visual stimuli. The project investigates how design can create a “safe space” without requiring withdrawal from public space.
Through sound-absorbing molton and a shape that reduces the peripheral field of vision, mute. creates a sense of focus and security in everyday life. The object is understood less as a classic garment and more as a design approach that opens up new perspectives on self-protection and mental health in public space.
