Description

Germany produces tonnes of raw wool as a waste product because the fibres are too coarse for clothing. However, the coarse wool can be used as an excellent upholstery material as its fibres have a special bounce. This makes it an alternative to oil-based foams. The ‘Mono Wool’ cover is knitted with cavities, filled and formed into a seat shell using a folding mechanism. 3D knitting technology allows the upholstery to be produced entirely on the machine, eliminating the need for manual, labour-intensive steps. ‘Mono Wool’ is a 100% wool cushion designed for local, circular and socially responsible production.
