Lichtkerzen, eine interaktive Lichtröhreninstallation / Light Candles, an interactive light-tube installation
Description
Lux Keri is an interactive light tube installation. It invites visitors to explore magical worlds of colour on their own and to actively influence the light of the tubes. It also offers the opportunity to play a game in which the goal is to protect a flickering fire that has spread across the tubes. Water tries to extinguish the fire on each tube, but if you are quick enough, you can keep the fire alive.
The name is derived from the Latin word for light and the Greek word for candle.
The work consists of recycled white HT pipes with LED strips mounted in the centre. At the lower end of each tube, there is a sensor responsible for the interactivity, which is controlled by a programmed microcontroller.
