An Opportunity to Support the Reintegration of Homeless People Through Mental and Physical Relief and the Participation of Society
Description
A modular locker placed in public areas provides a meeting point for homeless people and society to work on the negative mindset towards homelessness through shared time and activities, and to promote reintegration through physical and psychological relief. In order to offer efficient help on multiple levels I took the needs of the homeless as well as the other stakeholders (aid agencies, society) into account. This way, the locker can be adapted and personalised to meet individual needs and interests, so that a relationship to the object can be developed through “design for experience”, which should be reflected in its consistent usage and support. In addition to helping the user, “Locker_v01” can also support the aid agencies such as the social welfare office and the job centre, as the reachability of the clients is guaranteed by the fixed postal address.
