Description

What does it feel like to taste? What form does the taste 'sweet' take? What do our emotions have to do with it? la bouchée is a series of object-like products created as part of the master's thesis satisfying synaesthetic, which essentially contains the question of whether and how all our senses can be taken into account in the design process. Peppered with conscious and unconscious, general and individual associations as well as emotions, a work emerges that celebrates the special situation that all the senses interact when eating. The rounded, soft shape of la bouchée is particularly attractive, associating with the taste of 'sweet' and is intended to emphasize this taste. At the same time, the stackable plates used as a bell leave room to look at the next course during the meal and wonder whether it will influence the taste of the actual course. The spoons, on the other hand, appeal to the curiosity to notice an amuse-gueule haptically while enjoying it.
