Neurodermatitis is the most common chronic skin disease in Germany. Scratched, red, and scaly skin areas characterize the skin appearance of people with neurodermatitis. Both the visible skin appearance and the invisible, hard-to-bear skin sensation, such as extreme itching, can place a massive mental burden on those affected and lead to a significant reduction in quality of life.
INSIDE OUT turns the invisible burdens of neurodermatitis inside out. The sensation of an acute flare-up, the itching, burning, and tightness of the skin, becomes visible in the form of fine patterns.
The shirts, as well as posters and social media, refer to a website that conveys information about neurodermatitis in an approachable, clear, and targeted manner for those affected and non-affected.
The campaign aims to empower those affected in dealing with neurodermatitis and create public awareness.
