Description

In everyday life, it is becoming increasingly clear that cultural boundaries are dissolving and can no longer be clearly classified as “Eastern” or “Western”. Hyperculture describes this blurring of cultural boundaries and enables the coexistence of different cultures in a globalized world.

The topic “Hyperculture – Cultural practices across East and West” is implemented through 3 works:1. Publication: The reversible publication deals with cultural practices in the East and West and can be read from both respective perspectives. This is illustrated through interviews, quotes, articles, images and the author’s own visual representations.

2. Poster: The lenticular poster with a morphing effect is based on the two covers of the reversible publication.

3. Vase: The vase embodies a hybrid identity in object form, as it combines blue porcelain painting with Eastern and Western motifs.
