Description
Hops is a battery-powered micro-transit system that complements the mobility requirements in a car-free city and is especially geared to the needs of people with disabilities.
In order to enable stepless entry and exit regardless of location, the entire vehicle can be lowered hydraulically and then extend a ramp, which is particularly essential for people in wheelchairs. The interior of the vehicle is designed for up to three passengers, one wheelchair user with an attendant or one person with a buggy. There are two folding seats and a side lean-to and different handles to both improve safety and ensure comfort when getting on and off.
Hops travels on selectable predefined routes, semi-autonomous up to a maximum speed of 25 km/h and fully autonomous at a low speed to ensure the greatest possible driving safety.
