Description
The project combines a magazine and a furniture project that complement each other and make the design process tangible from two perspectives – communication and object design. At the center is the question of how conscious decisions in design arise and can be communicated. The magazine makes design backgrounds visible and expands them through guided interviews as well as self-written texts that bring together different perspectives on responsible design. Photography, typography, and language create a reflective narrative level. Complementing this, HORST was created, a versatile small piece of furniture made of solid wood that can be used as a stool, shelf, and stacking object. Open and closed sides vary visibility and access to storage space, while several elements can be flexibly combined. Together, print and product show design as a process of reflection and application.
