Description

“Findus” is a swapping place for the public space where neighbors can leave and take clothing and items. The design of the cabinet is based on five principles derived from the experiences of various operators of swap locations in Berlin: A pallet truck reception makes “Findus” mobile, allowing it to be easily delivered and relocated. The cabinet is stable and robust enough for public spaces with a massive concrete foundation and a steel casing. To respond to the needs of different neighborhoods, Findus is modularly designed and can be flexibly equipped with shelves, clothing, or book modules. With its striking colorful windows, the swap place is also highly visible in public spaces. The integrated bench emphasizes the character of the swap cabinet as a social place. Thus, “Findus” promotes neighborhood exchange and the quality of stay in the district, in addition to local circular economy.
