Dú is a lamp that means "read" in Chinese. Dú responds to the reader's interaction with their book: it lights up when the book is taken out of the bookend; the light turns off automatically, when it is put back. It allows users to focus on something that really relaxes them under the light, avoiding checking mobile phone incessantly.
Dú holds on that people should "decelerate" their pace of life, to focus on doing something in the moment to get back to themselves and achieve mental relaxation. Dú's light immediately brings people into their "flow state" and turns the entire process of doing into a ritual.
