Due to the unpredictable occurrence of life-threatening symptoms such as strong palpitations or a rising pulse, people suffering from panic disorders can be overwhelmed by a feeling of fear of death at any time. The resulting caution towards alleged panic triggers such as places or situations restricts people‘s lives. By following the instructions for calming down during an attack – depending on the degree of intensity of – and by satisfying the acupressure points depicted, the insecurity and fear of the next attack can be reduced. This requires an extensive examination of the self, through education, self-help and dealing with the disease itself. The podcast associated can be an opportunity for those affected as well as for outsiders to understand the disease better and raise further awareness for the subject of mental illnesses.
