Description

Dia+ enables the safe and intuitive therapy of type 1 diabetes in children. The dia+ kit contains all the essential therapy devices and aids for everyday use and immediate help in emergencies. The components are connected and precisely coordinated with each other. The dia+ kit features two smart insulin pens, one with short-acting and one with long-acting insulin. A glucagon spray is included for severe hypoglycemia emergencies. In addition, the kit includes a blood glucose metre, lancing device and glucose gummies. In the dia+ app, all therapy values (blood glucose values, insulin doses, etc.) are continuously analysed and visually presented in a user-friendly way. In addition, alerts and step-by-step instructions for treatment are provided. This way, caregivers are supported and encouraged to be in charge of therapy management for children with type 1 diabetes. This also enables inexperienced persons to use the dia+ kit safely and to provide rapid assistance in an emergency.
