CSMU
Collaborative Sewerage Maintenance Unit
Description
In recent years, extreme weather conditions, soil sealing, and increasing urbanization have challenged the existing sewerage system, leading to increasing difficulties. The modern central sewerage system is complicated as it connects all the drains and has been designed in such a way that it is inaccessible to traditional construction vehicles. This leaves the burden of maintaining the entire system to the operators. The current practice of monitoring and cleaning the system manually is inefficient.. The concept offers a flexible choice of equipment that supports the efficient transportation of waste and material, and makes it possible to automate repetitive tasks . It is a system comprised of functional modules and autonomous vehicle platforms which can serve as supportive connections between operators and sewerage facilities. Aside from functional improvements, the concept also aims to change the perception of the profession through design by creating a clean and detail-oriented image for the industry.
