CARIGO is a stair-climbing transport aid that makes everyday life easier for people with a low physical capacity. The focus of the concept was to improve the mobility of patients requiring oxygen. Patients suffer from fluctuating health conditions and often reach their physical limits when performing everyday tasks, such as shopping or climbing stairs. To reduce the risk of respiratory distress, they rely on a mobile oxygen supply. However, the therapy devices bring their own weight and thus an additional burden for those affected. CARIGO removes this additional burden. The large tire diameter and the deep profile enable barrier-free movement; CARIGO overcomes obstacles and steps without any effort on the part of the user.
