About Johannes Voelchert – On AG
Johannes Voelchert is Innovation Design Lead at On in Zurich. After training as a technical model maker, he studied product design at BURG Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. He developed his bachelor’s thesis in collaboration with On into the ‘LightSpray’ technology – an innovative textile manufacturing process that is currently being brought to series production. Over several years of development, the focus was on optimisation for industrial production, user needs and circular principles. In his work, Voelchert combines technical expertise with design methodology to develop novel solutions in the areas of aesthetics, materials and manufacturing.
