Generation Z lacks political representation and accessible channels to express their needs. The digital service provides a fun way for young people to explore democracy on their own terms. The platform allows them to transparently and effectively share, explore and support ideas in their community. By visually placing their wishes in a digital 3D experience of their neighbourhood, users feel their own self-efficacy. Together, they decide which wishes should be regularly discussed as fixed agenda items in the local council. All decisions are then transparently fed back into the service. By seamlessly connecting residents and decision-makers, ‘blok_it’ enhances democratic participation and provides an accessible experience that recognises the influence of young voices in our communities.
