In consideration of the constantly increasing population numbers, the food demand of the future cannot be met by conventional methods. The basis of the design is a biosphere. This is populated with seeded plants. By shielding them from the outside world, it is impossible for pests to invade. The plants can thus be optimally cared for until they are ripe through a controlled supply of nutrients. In order to achieve the necessary production quantities, the biospheres are arranged on a surface by using a developed rod-knot system.
