Description

"Bela" are faithful companions for sporting adventures. The circular running shoes can be ordered as part of a subscription and renewed as required. Customers simply scan their foot measurements with their smartphone and receive a customised pair. The shoes are made from a mono-material plastic that is 3D printed for maximum comfort. The different areas of the shoe meet all requirements, be it cushioning, stability or breathability. After intensive use, the shoes can be returned. The old pair is completely recycled and made into a new pair of high quality shoes, a first in the sports footwear industry. As well as optimising recycling, 3D printing dramatically shortens the supply chain by reducing the number of steps. This significantly reduces the carbon footprint of the athletic shoe in a rapidly changing industry.
