BBQ Street
15 Meter Kochskulptur
Description
The ‘BBQ-Street’ is a 15-meter-long cooking sculpture. It invites people to cook, share, and meet together. The sculpture consists of several stations – at one end there is a pizza oven, followed by a 9-meter-long grill, an earth oven, and a large fire pit at the other end. The stations can be fired individually or simultaneously. Fire, food, and movement in the space create an immediate connection. Cooking becomes a collective ritual that fosters community and encourages low-threshold encounters. The ‘BBQ-Street’ is permanently installed in the garden of the University of Fine Arts and was performed for the first time together with the ‘Kitchen Guerilla’ at the university’s 250-year anniversary celebration.
