In a time when our everyday lives are shaped by efficiency, rationalization and digital overload, I want to set an example for deceleration, sensuality and playful experience. My object invites us to linger, touch and discover. I have dealt with the question of what kind of life we create for ourselves when we remove all hurdles from it and enter the total comfort zone. I have tried to question principles of accessibility, speed and user-friendliness in design and to develop a counter-proposal.

My work consists of two objects: A drawer cabinet – The Archive – and a console. A rotatable cuboid is integrated into the console, on which there is a control module and three puzzle modules. The drawers are locked and cannot be opened by hand. Only by solving the three puzzles does the archive release its contents.
