Description
What remains of an encounter, of a conversation? Personal memories, sensations, emotions. How can these fleeting moments be captured and made accessible to people who were not present? On this foundation of questions a concept of a participative archive was built. A group of students from the Studio Experimentelles Design of the HFBK Hamburg have been accompanying the curatorial program at M.1 in Hohenlockstedt on the topic of Care by Sascia Bailer (Artistic Director 2019/20). Each of these events was documented and afterwards artistically interpreted by a student or team. This resulted in eight interpretations of the events/workshops in the form of suitcases. The Archive of Encounter is mobile and participatory: Through the cooperation with the public library in Hohenlockstedt, the topics can be made accessible to people who could not participate in the program but want to find out more about the topics of care and care work.
