Description
With “Amphi-Rush”, the work develops an amphibious rescue and evacuation vehicle for floods, swampy areas, shallow waters and difficult-to-access terrain. The starting point is the gap between wheeled vehicles, which lose traction in soft ground, and boats, which require a minimum water depth. Based on research into amphibious vehicles, deployment scenarios, target groups and extreme weather events, an electrically powered vehicle with an adjustable twin-screw drive is designed. This is intended to enable the transition between different surfaces. In addition, rescue functions such as a walkable roof, rear entry, cable winch, lighting, interchangeable batteries and modular interior use are developed. The CAD model created in Rhino serves for the visual representation of the concept and is not to be understood as a production-ready technical design. Material and buoyancy calculations show the theoretical buoyancy of the design.
