Am See sagen wir Du. Narrative und partizipative Designmethoden für emotionale Rezeption und Empowerment in der Klimakommunikation am Beispiel von Wassermangel in Brandenburg
Water is a natural part of everyday life in Brandenburg. But for years, groundwater levels and lake levels have been sinking. The effects of the climate crisis are becoming increasingly noticeable regionally and affect us directly on our doorstep. At the same time, many bodies of water are in a poor ecological condition and react particularly sensitively to climate change. Despite scientific warnings, political and personal action often remains insufficient. Climate communication frequently fails to establish emotional proximity and concrete references to action. This work therefore examines how visual, narrative, and participatory design methods can strengthen the emotional perception of the water and climate crisis in Brandenburg and promote intrinsically motivated action. The result is “Am See sagen wir Du” – the concept of a workshop series in which residents of Brandenburg engage with their relationship to the lake and learn about concrete options for action.
