Description
Eyeglasses have evolved and improved over centuries to make daily life easier for people with low vision. Through research, it has become apparent that there is a problem with old eyeglass frames. If they are not saved as replacement eyeglasses, they end up in drawers, in the trash, or donated to opticians to be given to aid organizations abroad. However, donated glasses have unsuitable lenses that can cause discomfort for the new wearers.
With Me Eyewear, a sustainable closed-loop system was made possible, from which regional optician stores, as well as sustainably-minded eyeglass wearers with few financial means, can benefit. The design is gender-neutral, sustainable, socially responsible and allows for the attachment of a clip-on to avod having to produce additional prescription sunglasses.
