Description
The website „Spuren Folgen“ investigates the phenomenon of product transparency as an urgent field of action within visual communication.
How transparent can a product be? How much information can be collected about a single object? And what visual strategies are suitable for creating transparency through communication? Taking a pair of shoes as an example, a "deep mapping" is undertaken through observing production processes, dissecting the shoe into single parts, tracing back materials and imagining its end of life. In the form of a website a digital representation of the shoe is created, that unfolds their economical, ecological and social scope.
