Description

“mimo” is a multimedia concept that accompanies stuttering therapy for children. Following the therapeutic approach of fluency shaping, the goal is to teach a soft-sounding speech pattern and to integrate this into the child's everyday life. A small microphone in the shape of a monster can evaluate the soft speech via AI and provide real-time feedback to enable the transfer of the speech pattern anytime and anywhere. To accompany this, the concept also includes software that digitally supports speaking exercises and uses playful elements (gamification) to encourage and motivate regular practicing. Through the interface between analog and digital, the learned knowledge can be seamlessly transferred into everyday life. Clearly structured exercises and objectives promote intrinsic motivation and support a self-confident approach to one's own speaking. The concept was developed in cooperation with Kassel Stuttering Therapy.
