Description

Some of the problems that can arise in a dormitory kitchen are students leaving the room messy, being disrespectful or taking other students’ products. But again, the solution should be to open up a conversation or allow students to interact with each other rather than isolating the facilities or themselves. This project focuses on the fridge as part of what could be the start of a more interactive and social kitchen space. Why the fridge? To raise awareness of respect for other people’s property, but also to use it as an opportunity to increase socialisation. The individual fridge offers space for 3 days’ food, the possibility of transporting it to the workplace and a window to see what is inside.
