Gendermedol+
Interactive Edutainment On Gender-Sensitive Medicine
Description
Medicine is still too often based on the (male) “standard” human being and treats all patients equally, without taking into account the significant gender-specific differences and (life-)threatening risks. ‘Gendermedol+’ uses two complementary interactive edutainment formats to playfully raise awareness of the need for gender-sensitive medicine. In an exhibition trail, visitors actively take on the role of a patient and are confronted with examples of gender-specific aspects of (re)treatment. They can interact at various stations in search of a diagnosis. However, their ‘atypical’ symptoms in a female or male role delay this. A set of cards completes the knowledge with a variety of case studies and practical tips. With its interactive puzzle elements, it encourages learning and discussion in a private setting.
