Furtho
ceramic meets textile
Description
The blue-light blue lines flow naturally into the bold aesthetic of Brutalism. Furtho is an object that combines the sculptural qualities of textiles. The basic form is characterised by the architectural features of Brutalism: the simple outline, the weight of the mass, the combination of square parts that reveal their structural unity, a cold stillness. The limited number of storeys and the steps that connect them create a structural tension and an imposing presence. The scattered threads, warm organic assemblages, combined with cold geometric shapes, create a fresh contrast, harmony and a captivating visual and tactile experience. The free-flowing assemblages of lines reveal the possibilities of painterly composition, but also expand their role by offering endless sculptural possibilities through the combination of textile and architectural structure.
