Description
ENSO is a modular, repairable suitcase system developed to challenge the linear lifecycle of conventional travel products. Instead of relying on permanent assemblies and complex material combinations, ENSO uses a reduced palette of three materials connected through reversible screw joints, enabling repair, replacement, resizing, and material recovery.
Designed as a long-term system rather than a disposable product, ENSO adapts to changing travel needs through expandable modules, reducing the need for multiple suitcases over time. A digital material passport provides transparency on materials, care, repair, and return pathways, supporting responsible ownership and efficient recovery.
By combining circular design principles with durability, adaptability, and user responsibility, ENSO demonstrates how everyday consumer products can transition from replacement-driven consumption to long-term use within closed material cycles.
