
About Viktoria Lea Heinrich
Viktoria Lea Heinrich is a design historian and curator specialising in design history from 1950 onwards and contemporary design perspectives. As head of the Arts and Crafts and Design Collection at the MK&G Hamburg, she curated exhibitions including ‘Zinn. Von der Mine ins Museum’ (2025) and ‘Hello Image. Die Inszenierung der Dinge’ (Hello Image. The Staging of Things) (2025/26). Previously, she worked as a curator at the HfG Archive/Museum Ulm, the MAK Vienna and the IDRV – Institute of Design Research Vienna, among others. She is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Institute for Cultural Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin on the designer and university lecturer Hans Roericht and is committed to research-based communication of design in an exhibition context. Together with Kaja Ninnis, she organises the ‘Colloquium on Design History’ to promote academic exchange in the field.

In 2025, Viktoria Lea Heinrich will support German Design Graduates as a mentor. She was part of the jury for the museum exhibition & awards in 2024.
