Meike Harde is the founder of the Cologne-based design studio Meike Harde, which has been working for internationally renowned furniture and lighting brands since 2013, including Vibia, Viccarbe, Pulpo, Bolia, Prostoria, Ligne Roset and Freistil Rolf Benz.
Her designs combine technical precision with a deep understanding of material aesthetics and manufacturing processes. With a special flair for lightness, construction and textile intelligence, she creates functional objects that touch the emotions. Sustainability, a love of experimentation and poetic clarity characterise her designs, as does the conviction that aesthetics are not an isolated goal: a design element should be justified and contribute to the functionality of the whole.
