About Katja Runge
Katja Runge (M.A. in Applied Cultural Studies) is a trained TV journalist and communications consultant who has been working in the design and creative industries since 2004. For many years, she was responsible for the communication of sustainable interior brands from Scandinavia and the “Designer’s Open” design festival in Leipzig.
After more than 10 years as a consultant and after the birth of her daughter, she founded afilii – the sustainable platform for child-friendly design – in 2013.
About afilii
afilii offers responsible brands and emerging designers a platform and an exclusive network to strengthen, connect and increase their global visibility.
Our vision is to change the design world for children – with more meaning and sustainability.
„Together we have the power to build a better future for our kids.“
Support
From the beginning, afilii has supported thoughtful and young design (=prototypes) for children. In exchanges with those submitting works and concepts, Katja Runge, the founder, repeatedly learns how important it is for designers to be given the chance to present their prototypes to an interested audience.
We support a graduate with an interview in German and English on the afilii platform and in our social channels – for international attention. Furthermore, we invite the selected candidate to participate in the virtual meet-ups and events of the afilii network for 12 months – to receive valuable exchange and motivating feedback.
